Why do some people cope better than others?

I heard a news report today on the LA archdiocese to pay over troubled priests. One of the victims was interviewed almost hysterical and talked about how she almost killed on the issue. I was stunned, I was abused as a child, my Grandfather and a friend of the family. It is simply not bother me now, it is not part of my life. It did not on my relationship as an adult, my role as Husband or my confidence as a man. There came a time when I was in my teens that I made a simple decision that I could do nothing about it, and if I had it my life influence, they were still harassing me. I do not mean to insult dealing with their own situation, but for me it was really as simple as a decision not the victim to be. Why is it so much harder for some people than others?

It would take like pebbles thrown into a pond before a country could, without a splash? Harassment and rape are crimes against the body, mind and soul of a man to see. How will it affect the body, mind and soul a certain amount of "Splash" that result in waves, or waves emanating from this unnatural and unwanted intrusion into a person's life. Many, if not most, will be affected to the core of their being, to touch and even changing who's who of them are. My life orientation and the basis of what they think that changes. There are few capable of "an easy decision." For them, more like an attempt to cross an ocean in a boat. They're just poorly equipped to deal with the strong currents and conditions found by the offender.
